Steve grew up in and around Albuquerque, New Mexico, and was     active in the arts from a young age, influenced primarily by his creatively involved mother. He attended the Colorado Institute of Art in Denver, and Rocky Mountain College of Art and Design during the “pre-digital” era, where he learned the gamut of traditional media as it pertained to commercial art and illustration. He earned a BA in Illustration, and years later returned to school to earn a BS in Animation as well.
